Craig, 

The last 5 years have had a lot of ups and downs, but every time I feel like I’m breaking I put on your music. I don’t think I could have survived without it. I am thankful for your ability to make me feel like you understand no matter how different our situations actually are. Which is why in august I decided to have your words permanently inked on my skin. A constant reminder that I am not alone. My most painful tattoo, and by far my favorite, is a line from the acoustic version of A Letter From Janelle that sums me up perfectly. I am a paradox. I am a million different things that shouldn’t coexist together all wrapped up into a clusterfuck of awesome.  I thank you for being able to describe me better then anyone else I have ever met. 

6 days ago, I finally got to meet the man I was inspired by. I finally got to stand next to you, with your hand around my waist and smile for the camera. I will never forget that even though I see you as a god, you were the most nicest guy ever. You spoke to me, when most bands that do signings treat their fans like its such a bother to deal with them. It was worth the 40 dollar tickets, the 20 degree weather for the four hours I stood outside, the near death experiences, the headache from hell from getting landed on by a crowd surfer, the inability to talk, walk, move, sleep, or do anything else productive for days after to have you look into my eyes and sing the words that blast through my stereo daily. 

I wish I could have told you there that I am thankful every day that your music came into my life. Each band has found me when I needed it, and it has saved me from myself. I can’t begin to thank you for doing what you love and sharing it with the world.
